What You Need to Know About the New Civic Si
There’s a new Honda in town. The new Honda Civic Si is a sportier version of the ever-popular, traditional Civic, and its athleticism is apparent. From the outside in, the upgrades mirror the model’s impressive performance capabilities. The best part is, the Civic Si will soon be available at VIP Honda. Before it arrives, here is everything you need to know about the new Civic Si.
Updates on the new Honda Civic Si are noticeable as soon as you lay your eyes on it. You’ll quickly notice a renovated front bumper, larger 18-inch wheels, a rear spoiler, and a center exhaust outlet. The Civic Si also rides lower to the ground than the standard Civic model. Step into the cabin, and the sportiness continues. A red gauge cluster depicts a rev meter, lateral G-meter, and lap time so that you can keep tabs on your performance. Interior features reflect the vehicle’s sporty nature, too, with a leather steering wheel and red stitching throughout the cabin. Sport pedals and sport seats each boast “Si” markings.
But these enhancements are only surface level. Under the hood of the new Honda Civic Si, you’ll find the same 1.5L turbocharged engine as you do in other Civic models. However, mechanical updates boost output to 205 hp and 192 lb-ft of torque. Despite this significant power surge, fuel economy remains highly impressive, at an EPA-estimated 28 mpg city and 38 mpg highway*. The Civic Si also has adaptive dampers – the first time the feature has been installed in this lineup. Such enhancements aren’t necessarily revolutionary, but they make the Honda Civic even more appealing and engaging to drive.
